Note Values (undotted notes)

One of the common elements in music is Rhythm. In order to show Rhythm in musical notation, various Note Values are used. These Note Values represent tones with different length. It is important to note that the duration of these Note Values are not clear until they are associated with a specific tempo. ♪

The  Double Whole note or Breve is rarely used in music notation, however the short notes are used more frequently.

These short notes include Demisemiquaver or Thirty-second note, Demisemiquaver , which lasts half the length of a Semiquaver and Hemidemisemiquaver or Sixty-fourth note which has an extra tail (flag).
